It’s not just the official avenues like the SPCA that are coming to the rescue of our feral cat population.
The out-of-control stray situation which has left organisations bursting at the seams has resulted in some individuals taking matters into their own hands too.
Deborah Ferris got in touch after hearing about Tova O'brien's plight with Poli - the hungry cat who fleetingly came into her care.
Ferris has self-funded 42 kittens into foster homes - sometimes heading out at night to trap starving mumma cats who are desperate to feed their babies.
She will join Tova O'Brien to talk more about what she does just after 7:30 am on Wednesday morning.
