Farmer Who Beat Deathly Health Scare Shines At International Farm Management Congress

Just over ten years ago, Queenstown farmer Jack Cocks faced a serious health scare which doctors said he would be unlikely to survive.

After many months in the hospital and countless surgeries, he is now almost fully recovered, even recently attending the International Farm Management Association Congress in Canada as a guest speaker, focusing on resilience.

Cocks chats to Dom about the event, which focused on topics such as the impact of inflation on farming probability, the rise of artificial intelligence (AI) in agriculture and the balance between environmental sustainability and global food demand.

He also talks about his work with FarmStrong, where he focuses largely on farmer resilience and mental health, shares his thoughts on the integration of AI in agriculture and more.
