Bill Dowle is a stock manager at Mount Herbert in Central Hawke's Bay and also runs a pretty successful side hustle with his fiance Annabelle, Natural Hound, a brand dedicated to crafting premium dog beds and coats.
Born out of frustration with poorly made dog products during the COVID-19 lockdowns, the couple began creating durable, high-quality gear using Australian-made canvas and New Zealand wool.
He delves into the challenges of running a small business, from inventory management to financial planning and the couple's aspiration to use wool from their own farm in future products.
