New Independent Food Festival 'Treats of Taupo' Aims To Showcase Local Produce

Treats of Taupo is a brand-new independent food festival that was created after organiser Fleur Walstenholme realised the Taupo region was missing on a map of New Zealand Food + Wine events.

With a background in British hospitality, Walstenholme brings her expertise to Taupo. The festival will feature over 20 unique events, from fine dining to family-friendly activities, all highlighting local produce such as gin, beer, and mead.

she shares her passion for supporting local businesses, emphasising the community's role in the festival's success and bringing people from all walks of life together for one week of fun.

The debut event is set to get underway on September 28 running through to October 6 this year and tickets are already selling out fast, so if this sounds like something you want to get involved in, get your tickets now!
