Representative of woman claiming to be Madeleine McCann questions credibility

When British three-year-old Madeleine McCann disappeared in Portugal in 2007 the case ignited intense global scrutiny.

Authorities are reportedly still investigating German sex offender Christian Brückner, who was formally identified as a suspect last April.

However, the frenzy of fascination with the case reignited a week ago when a Polish woman called Julia Wandelt declared she believed she was Madeleine McCann.

She now says a member of the McCann family has asked her to take a DNA test.

Julia’s spokesperson Dr Fia Johansson aka 'the Persian Medium' is a Doctor of Psychology, a private investigator, a celebrity medium and a psychic detective.

Johansson spoke with Tova O'Brien on Wednesday morning, saying this development began when Wandelt saw "a picture of the raper".

"The suspect pre-2007 in Portugal was the same suspect that raped Julia," Johansson said.

"She found that picture in the grandma's house, all of a sudden starting to say 'this picture is very similar to what I remember… I do remember that guy, I do remember that face, I feel that he did basically touch my private area'.

"This case is very sensitive, and we're still in the middle of investigation to figure out if Julia is the real Madeleine - or if Julia is just a lady that needs attention or has some mental health issues."

When asked about how the McCann family must be feeling, Johansson said that's exactly why they are investigating the case.

"If she is actually credible, then the DNA test will happen but at this moment, no, this is not going to happen until we are actually done with the investigation," she said.

"We don't want any harm to go after the Madeleine McCann family because they're kids, they are not kids anymore, they're grown. At the same time, they are sensitive and they don't want any crazy media to go after their life and destroy their lives again. They don't want any of those things."

Whether Johansson personally believes if Wandelt is in fact Madeleine McCann, she wouldn't tell O'Brien.

"I do believe Madeleine McCann is alive, but because of the sensitive situation that we are in at this moment, leaves me to not say what I feel," she said.

"It's not about what I feel anymore, it's about what the DNA tests and all other investigations, show.

"Also, I want to note to please be nice to Julia. A lot of people out there have been very, very nasty… We have a young, vulnerable woman who needs help with her current family or by herself."
