Zelensky speaks at media conference on the one year anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has fronted a special media conference on the one year anniversary of Russia's invasion of his country.

He says he's no longer open to negotiating with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Zelensky has praised the help of his country's allies, saying, "We are helped by our friends for our shared values so that this war doesn't spread."

"We shall have victory because the truth is on our side."

Ukraine's efforts have been boosted by the announcement of an extra ten billion dollars in aid from the United States.

Zelensky is confident of winning the war in the next twelve months, but is aware of the impact on his people.

Ukraine's Foreign Minister also addressed the United Nations Security Council, saying, "The goal is to get Russia out and make the world a safer place."
