A series of tornadoes formed in different parts of New Zealand, with locals capturing the shocking footage on their phones and cameras in the last few days.
Multiple videos were uploaded to the NZ Stormchasers Group on Facebook, giving the rest of us a glimpse of the rare natural phenomenon.

Meanwhile, Hiram Wallace recorded two tornadoes forming "just off Bowentown" in Waihi. The footage shows the tornadoes growing larger and gaining speed as they move across the ocean.
Another video, recorded by a user during the weekend, captured the chaos of the Waihi Beach tornado. The footage shows the tornado forming frighteningly close to the shore, right in front of multiple homes.
Rod Davison filmed "what looks to be a mini tornado" near Matakana Island, Tauranga. In the footage, the mini tornado can be seen moving towards the island, with the water below churning.
Lastly, Steven Longville recorded a tornado on Friday while "heading on the northwestern motorway" in Auckland. The video shows the tornado moving across the sky, with traffic on the motorway slowly moving towards it.
The footage has been making the rounds on social media, with many expressing shock and awe at the unmatched power of nature.
This comes as many around the country are still reeling from the devastating effects of Cyclone Gabrielle, with many on their toes amid extraordinary weather events.
Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities have been reported from any of the tornadoes.
