Alyssa Albert picked her urban life up from Motueka last year to move to the remote Chatham Islands due to her husband's job but did not let the change in scenery stop her passion for soap-making.

Turning a hobby into a business, she explains that the products at Favoured Artisan Soaps are renowned for their innovative use of local natural ingredients like sea kelp, kawakawa, Chatham Island black sand, and sheep tallow.
