A new trend on the popular social media app TikTok has gone viral, showing mothers around the world adopting their daughters' style (and attitude) in short videos and people are claiming it almost looks like they're decades younger because of it.
"This trend really shows how ageing is sometimes just rooted in our perception of what’s modern... a lot of them looked decades younger," said Twitter user Sal.
Many were quick to point out that ironically, a fair few of the looks being sported in the 'after' shots are ones that women of that age were likely wearing when they were younger in the 80s and 90s.
The videos also sparked conversation around how we perceive age, with one user saying "ageism is a very real thing, our perception of ourselves and others as we age truly affects the health and well-being of us all!
"Having a positive view of ageing really helps even our own appearances."
