On Thursday morning, Tova O'Brien and Duncan Garner faced off once again on the Debate Club segment.
This segment is all about winning, and getting the listeners to side with the stronger argument.
How it works is a subject is chosen, both sides of the debate are disputed, and the winner is decided at the end.
The moot for today was - Lower the voting age to sixteen.
O'Brien is arguing we should, while Duncan Garner is arguing we shouldn't.
With O'Brien going first, the breakfast host based her argument on Wednesday's Pae KÅrero segment, where Make It 16 co-director Caeden Tipler was asked to come on the show at the last minute.
Without any preparation, planning or notice, O'Brien praised Tipler's conduct, acing it "in a way most adults would flounder".
"If making it 16 means more young, thoughtful, researched people like Caeden are having their say, it is a no-brainer - our democracy will be stronger for it," O'Brien said.
