On Monday morning, Tova O'Brien and Duncan Garner faced off once again on the Debate Club segment.
This segment is all about winning, and getting the listeners to side with the stronger argument.
How it works is a subject is chosen, O'Brien and Garner are given a side to debate, and the winner is decided at the end.
The moot for Monday was: 'Wellington should fully take over the Auckland flood response'.
O'Brien argued Wellington shouldn't, while Garner argued Wellington should.
"Wellington should absolutely take it over," Duncan said.
"Chippy's keen to impress, so let'em at it Chippy."
But O'Brien told Duncan "you're wrong".
"Remember, it was Wellington that kept Auckland in lockdown for four months in 2021," she countered.
"Wellington doesn't know what's best for Auckland, Auckland knows what Auckland needs."
