Allan Fong is the spirited vegetable farmer behind The Fresh Grower, based on a 500-acre lot in Pukekohe, he has help from over 100 staff to get the produce into supermarkets and stores across the country.
Fong delves into the joys and challenges of farming, noting this year's favourable weather as a blessing compared to last year's harsh conditions. He further explains the impact the weather can have on crop supply, specifically for green-leaf vegetables.
Fong also touches on implementing social media marketing into his business and how he has utilised platforms such as YouTube and Instagram to grow awareness of his brand.
