Regurgitate, then eliminate - Blackcaps Glenn Phillips' win following mid-game spew

The Blackcaps have won the ODI series against Pakistan after winning the third and deciding match by two wickets in Karachi.

The home side scored 280 for 9 in their innings before the '50s from Devon Conway and Kane Williamson but it was Glenn Phillips who changed the game with an unbeaten 63 not out from 42 balls.

Glenn Phillips was named Player of the Match.

Player of the series, Devon Conway, told Nigel Yalden on Saturday Breakfast that Phillips was vomiting during their match.

"I think I don't know if you guys know this, but he was pretty sick before going into bat," said Conway.

"During our fielding performance, he was off the park for the majority of the period and I remember running off to go to the loo and hearing him throwing up in the bathroom.

"For him to come out and produce a performance like that is unreal."

Conway said he believes the sickness came on during the match, not before.

"He was perfectly fine before, so it hit him pretty quickly, unfortunately, whatever viral thing he got.

"What he did, under those circumstances, was pretty special."
